Heyo fine folk!
Hows everything going? I have been working on backgrounds and I have seven of them completed. Each has a character that is broken into joints so it can be rigged. Where is everyone else at the moment? Who is doing what? Does anyone feel overwhelmed? Does anyone feel like they're finished? Just trying to get a feel for how this project is progressing. I hope you all are doing quite well.
Hey there Al, im planning on trying to get a few more pages animated tonight got 2 done earlier, hey Steven how are things on your end?, I guess for tomorrow we can have the swf files or maybe some .movs im not sure how we are handling that

ReplyDeleteI think they want the completed book turned in as a SWF file.
I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out this rig, and was unsuccessful, so at this point, I'm just going to throw the book together with what we got, and then add whatever interactive shit we can with whatever time is left.
I'm also trying to do quick paintovers of everyones stuff, to get it cohesive, but its not going very quick, so I'm kinda screwed.
I wish we could all work together on this, but the lab is packed:/
How is 243 looking? I've uploaded all my BGs so I'm down to come over and help with anything that needs to be done!
ReplyDeleteWell, the issue is, that I wanted the wife to be able to sweep. If you think about it, you cant put two joints on the broom, to keep it connected to both arms, so I don't know what to do. I wanted her to be moveable, but maybe you can at least do an animation of her sweeping, which probably wouldn't be too hard. I'll load the PSD onto the drive, its all chopped up for rigging already.

Hey Al, or somebody, can you design a simple "back" and "next" button real quick, that'll fit the style?
ReplyDeleteI can definitely do the back and next buttons! As for flash, the version I have is already over the time limit. I can animate in photoshop, but it will feel different.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about animating. Can you get me those buttons in a PSD on their own layers? I'm putting the book together right now.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't have anything else to do, what would really help is if you can go over the existing pages that everyone else has done (including your own), and try to tie them together. They're all looking too different right now. I'll post the first two pages I've gone over, for you to reference.
If you can, do all the backgrounds and get the colors and lines matching the first two. Don't worry about the characters, I'll fix them.
Let me know if you can't, but right now I don't have time to do everything by 6, so it's gonna look like shit.
The buttons are on the drive. They are called Foreward Backward. I hope they work okay. Tell me if they dont. Where are you posting stuff? I posted the buttons on the drive in the same folder as my BGs
